I've loved him ever since my first viewing of True Romance, at Grauman's Chinese Theatre in 1993. There is an absolutely unforgettable scene in the film where he faces off against an evil Christopher Walken, and the result is a hauntingly beautiful piece of cinema to behold.
Adieu, and ride easy, Mr. Hopper. Rebellion will never be the same without you.
I watched that scene twice this morning before reading your post. One of my favorites of all time.
